A strategic brand and product builder with global experience in both start-up and mature brands, Terri Fisher serves as founder and CEO of Platinum Coast Retail Consulting, Inc. since February 2012. She has over 30 years of experience in the fashion retail industry. She is an innovative, inspiring, exceptional team-builder who is passionate about growing superior product brands, with a proven ability to identify consumer trends and translate them into highly profitable business opportunities.
From 2005 to 2012 Terri was the Senior Vice-President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Soma Intimates, a division of Chicos, FAS. Ms. Fisher took the company from start-up to profitability. From 2002 to May 2005 she was the Senior Vice President and General Merchandising Manager for The Avenue/United Retail where she achieved the highest margins in company history.
Before joining United Retail, Terri excelled at Macy’s Merchandising Group (then Federated Merchandising Group) from 1998-2002 as a Vice President responsible for generating annual sales in excess of $1.5B. Prior to Macy’s Ms. Fisher held senior level positions at Kmart, The Limited, The Gap, Randa Accessories, and at Montgomery Ward.
A passionate mentor and adviser Terri is currently a Life Skills Coach for underprivileged kids at The First Tee Naples/Collier in Florida. In January 2014 she was elected to their Board of Directors. Terri also served on the Board of Directors of TC2, a not-for-profit textile technical support company from 2009-2012. Terri is a founding member of WEL (Women Executive Leadership) whose purpose is to get more women on corporate boards. In 2001 she was awarded the highest honor in the Intimate Apparel industry: a Femmy Award for Retailer of the Year.
Terri will be published in a bi-monthly subscription journal where she will be reporting on all things retail and fashion.
Ms. Fisher received a B.S. degree in Fashion Merchandising and Retailing from the University of Bridgeport as well as completing M.B.A. studies at the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business
Terri spends most of her free time in retail stores and online keeping her ears to the ground and her pulse on the business!
